Experience
I graduated from the University of Florida with my bachelor's in biology and pre-medical courses completed. I worked for the UF's Department of Infectious Diseases and Pathology for a couple of years as a biological scientist and researcher. I worked for three years as a science teacher and one as a math teacher. I am comfortable teaching and tutoring students from elementary to college level math and science. As a tutor, I strive to be patient as I engage my students in the concepts at hand. Whether I am reviewing key concepts of introductory physiology or preparing a student for their AP computer science exam, I can help them build invaluable skills that are necessary beyond school. As I tutor, I use visual demonstrations, mnemonic devices, phrases, songs, and rhymes to make learning more fun and effective. Through creative and unique teaching methods, students can develop a deeper connection to the materials, allowing them to learn it more thoroughly. I am capable of tutoring in biomedical engineering, IB environmental systems and societies, IB physics, and anatomy and physiology, among others. I am an active person outside of my academics. I love to spend time outdoors hiking, spending time at the beach, and just exploring nature.
